A thin film process development expert, Barry worked for 16 years in senior positions at AVX Corporation (NYSE: AVX) where he helped build a small development facility in Israel into a 600-employee R&D and manufacturing company producing thin film passive devices. Prior to AVX, Barry was an engineer at General Electric in the United States. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Barry holds a B.Sc. in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has 6 issued and several pending patents. Barry authored 10 academic published papers and 2 Kyocera Conference papers. Barry was awarded the Kaplan Prize in 1994 for excellence in industrial development. In 1998, he was awarded the Kyocera Corporation President Award for outstanding achievement in product & business development.

Jonathan GoldsteinDr. Jonathan Goldstein, Founder, President and Chief Scientist.

Jonathan is an electrochemist with specialization in fuel cells, solar energy, energy conversion, hydrogen storage, electroplating and materials. Jonathan has been President and Chief Scientist of the Company since its founding in 2003. Jonathan served as a senior scientist at LUZ Industries, a pioneering company in the solar energy industry, and served as Chief Scientist of the LUZ affiliated company, Electric Fuel. From 1977 to 1989, Jonathan served as the senior battery scientist at Tadiran Ltd., Israel's flagship electronics company. Jonathan was born in the UK, and received his Ph.D in Chemistry from City University, London, specializing in fuel cell chemistry. He holds 38 granted US patents, and has published/delivered more than 30 scientific papers. Jonathan was a Session Chairman at the International Battery Symposium at Nagoya, Japan in 1998, and Session Chairman at the Renewable Energy World Congress in Brighton, England in 2000.

Barry N. BreenEytan Heller, VP Business Development.

Eytan has over 15 years diverse experience working with international organizations and private companies. Eytan served as the Economic and Trade Advisor at the Delegation of the European Commission to the State of Israel. Eytan worked many years as a marketing and business development consultant for Israeli start-up companies which included Concretec Ltd. and CDRide and European companies Ferrero and FNAC. Prior to joining 3GSolar, Eytan was Director of Business Development for Keta Keta, a Tel Aviv-based New Media and Internet Advertising agency. Eytan holds a M.Sc. in Politics of the World Economy from the London School of Economics, and a B.A. in Political Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Barry N. BreenDr. Ilya Yakupov, Chief Technical Officer.

Prior to joining the Company, Ilya served as a Senior Scientist AVX Corporation (NYSE: AVX), where was responsible for manufacturing process scale-up and development of electrolytic capacitor technology. Prior to AVX, Ilya worked at Tadiran Ltd. as a chemical engineer in charge of engineering Li rechargeable batteries. A native of the former USSR, Ilya received his Ph.D in Chemistry from Ufa State Oil Technical University, Russia. He holds 19 patents, and has authored many academic papers in chemistry and electrochemistry.

Jonathan GoldsteinEli Rosh-Hodesh, Engineering Manager.

Prior to joining the Company, Eli ran the AVX laboratory in Rehovot, Israel. Eli served 22 years in the Israel Air Force as Manager of the Automatic Flight Control Lab and Manager of Hydraulics and Pneumatics Lab - Quality Assurance. Eli holds 5 patents in Electrochemical energy storage and battery electrochemical cells with non-liquid electrolyte. Eli studied Electronics at Tel Aviv University.
